VÍDEO: Kyle Larson compartilha sua opinião “egoísta” sobre o debate do tempo de prática.

Kyle Larson does not believe there is a significant need for prolonged practice sessions in the Cup. Recently, there has been much discussion about the amount of training NASCAR drivers need on specific tracks. A prominent voice in support of this issue has been the seven-time Cup champion and Hall of Fame member. Now, the Hendrick Motorsport driver has been asked to share his thoughts on the necessary number of practice sessions for drivers during race weekends.

During his appearance on the Speed Street Podcast, Larson expressed that, generally, 20 minutes of practice is sufficient. His teammate also shared a similar opinion on the matter. However, Larson mentioned that he would need more practice sessions on road courses, as these are tracks where he usually struggles. He also admitted that he is a bit selfish when it comes to this issue, as he would prefer fewer practice sessions on tracks where his team has an advantage.

Practice has been a hot topic this week, even for Kyle Larson, as he prepares for the Indy 500, gaining experience in an IndyCar. Larson also added that the IndyCar will feel different to him compared to NASCAR cars, highlighting his differing views on practice sessions in different racing categories. His willingness to acknowledge his selfish viewpoint is truly commendable.

Kyle Larson is scheduled to make his debut at the Indy 500 in May. He recently participated in IndyCar practice sessions and performed exceptionally well. In light of this, Larson discussed the differences between the next generation NASCAR cars he normally drives and the IndyCar in the same podcast.

The Hendrick Motorsport driver also noted that, after a while, he felt that the IndyCar became more similar to NASCAR cars in terms of drivability as tire wear became more evident. Fans will undoubtedly be eager for Larson’s debut in the IndyCar to see how his performance compares to his achievements in NASCAR.
