VÍDEO: Kevin Harvick credita suas conquistas e da equipe No. 4 por manter a SHR forte ao longo da última década.

Kevin Harvick highlights the role his team has played in keeping Stewart Haas Racing (SHR) together. The NASCAR Cup pitlane has been eagerly awaiting clarity on the future of SHR since the beginning of the season. However, the recent announcement that the team will sell all four charters and cease operations from next season caught many fans by surprise.

Tony Stewart and Gene Haas, the owners of SHR, have struggled to maximize their team’s potential during the Next-Gen era. They have only managed to win three races, all in 2022, and ended the 2023 season without a single victory. The team also faced financial difficulties after losing key sponsorship deals following the retirement of certain individuals.

During a recent podcast, Kevin Harvick emphasized the significant role his No. 4 team has played in supporting the overall success of SHR over the past decade. He believes that his own achievements, as well as those of his teammate, were crucial in keeping the team together, especially considering the lack of success from the other three cars.

The 2014 Cup champion further pointed out that owning a NASCAR team requires full-time dedication, which he feels has been lacking from the SHR owners. This absence of strong leadership at the top management level has led to various issues for the Ford team and ultimately contributed to its downfall.

Kevin Harvick’s vision as a future Hall of Famer is undeniably accurate, as the lack of involvement from the ownership group has been a persistent issue at SHR for some time. If this issue had been addressed earlier, the team could have downsized its operations and continued its presence in NASCAR.
