Vídeo: Freddie Kraft lembra de Bubba Wallace sendo desqualificado duas vezes em uma única corrida.

Bubba Wallace started the 2024 season with an impressive top-five finish at the Daytona 500. The renowned driver, known for his fun moments in the sport, recently appeared on the Door Bumper Clear podcast to share some of his thrilling racing stories. The podcast, produced by Dirty Mo Media, features Wallace’s longtime spotter as one of the co-hosts.

During the conversation, Freddie Kraft recalled a memorable incident in which Wallace faced a double disqualification in a single race. Kraft humorously exclaimed, “This guy got disqualified twice in the same race, I think twice!” Wallace then explained the details of what went wrong that day and how two consecutive mistakes led to his disqualification from the session.

Wallace’s first disqualification occurred during Qualifying, when he violated regulations by getting out of the car and closing the door. He was informed about this unexpected disqualification while resting in his bus. The second disqualification came later in a session when he failed to complete the full 40-minute period in the car.

One of the recurring criticisms that Wallace has faced over the years is that he is overly self-critical, which often leads to execution errors as he tries to prove others wrong. However, heading into the 2024 season after a successful year in 2023, Wallace has adopted a different perspective. He expressed that his goal for this season is not only to prove his critics wrong but also to become a better version of himself and truly enjoy the whole experience. Kraft, who was listening attentively, acknowledged that this mindset is the best he has seen in Wallace in a long time.
