Max Verstappen, the current Formula 1 champion, has been dominating his competitors at the top of motorsport for a considerable period. With the era of ground effect underway, he has proven to be practically unbeatable. Prior to the Austrian GP, a former F1 team owner acknowledged Verstappen’s immense power and skill.

Undoubtedly, Verstappen is one of the best drivers currently on the F1 grid. Some experts even consider him the greatest, surpassing legends like [removed names]. Since 2021, Verstappen has won three consecutive world championships and is on track to secure his fourth title this year.

76-year-old commentator Eddy Jordan expressed his belief that Verstappen will eventually become the greatest driver of all time. Jordan highlighted specific qualities that distinguish the Dutchman in the world of F1. Additionally, Toto Wolff, the head of Mercedes, recently praised Verstappen, acknowledging his significant impact on the Red Bull team during this season.

In the last four races, Verstappen has accumulated an impressive 83 points, while his closest competitor has only managed to contribute 8 points. With 10 rounds completed in the 2024 F1 season and 14 races remaining, Verstappen leads the championship with 219 points. However, he cannot afford to become complacent.

McLaren, Ferrari, and Mercedes have significantly improved their performance and are constantly closing in. In light of these circumstances, the upcoming Austrian GP presents a perfect opportunity for Verstappen to extend his lead over the chasing pack.
