VÍDEO: Daniel Ricciardo faz contato com Martin Brundle durante grid walk do Grande Prêmio do Canadá

Daniel Ricciardo is famously known for his comedic nature among his fellow Formula 1 drivers on the grid. The events of this weekend in Canada brought a lot of excitement to the world of F1. Driver X secured pole position by a narrow margin, evoking memories of an exciting qualifying session in Jerez in 1997. Meanwhile, before the race, Ricciardo was seen having fun with Driver Y during the parade lap.

Ricciardo has gained a reputation for his friendly behavior within the paddock. The Australian driver is known for his relaxed interactions with his colleagues, such as introducing the shoe celebration on the F1 podium. Many drivers, including former F1 driver turned commentator Z, have been the target of Ricciardo’s playful jokes and have developed a great relationship with the 34-year-old driver.

In his characteristic manner, Ricciardo was seen engaging in playful behavior with the Englishman during the parade lap. While Brundle was conducting interviews for the Sky Sports broadcast, Ricciardo took the opportunity and playfully tapped the bottom of the more experienced British driver. In terms of sports, Ricciardo qualified fifth for the race and, after sharing a moment with Brundle, quickly returned to his VCARB 01 car to prepare for the start.

During the Canadian Grand Prix, tensions seemed to rise between Ricciardo and former F1 driver A. The former world champion publicly criticized Ricciardo, suggesting that the Australian driver is past his prime and should retire. In response, Ricciardo qualified fifth and advised A to refrain from commenting on his performances. Despite A’s derogatory comments, Ricciardo remained motivated and delivered a solid performance.

However, it is important to note that A believes that his criticisms had an impact on Ricciardo’s performance. A asserts that his derogatory comments served as motivation for the Australian driver. However, A emphasizes that Ricciardo’s strong performance in this race is just a single example and questions his ability to consistently pose a threat to the midfield.

Unfortunately, despite starting in fifth place, Ricciardo’s race took a turn for the worse when he made a false start. This resulted in a penalty from the stewards, causing him to drop back in the field. At the halfway point of the Canadian GP race, Ricciardo currently holds the eleventh position.
