Vídeo: Damon Hill critica volta da pole position de Max Verstappen no Grande Prêmio do Bahrein por não ser a mais rápida.

Max Verstappen guaranteed first place in the qualifying for the Bahrain Grand Prix, despite not setting the fastest lap of the session.

The qualifying session for the opening race of the [race name] was led by [driver name], who secured pole position. The Dutch driver was closely followed by [driver name] in second place, missing out on pole by just 0.228s. Consequently, [driver name] expressed his thoughts on the matter and did not support the perspective of the current world champion.

Hill described this as an “interesting anomaly” that Max Verstappen secured pole position even without setting the fastest lap. The 63-year-old driver highlighted that Verstappen was not the fastest driver on the grid, but managed to secure pole position. This observation was made because Leclerc set the fastest lap during Q2, but failed to secure pole position due to a slower lap in Q3.

Consequently, Leclerc also expressed his disappointment with the session. Additionally, Damon Hill mentioned how Leclerc was only slightly behind in securing pole position for the session. As a result, the main race will see Max Verstappen starting from the front row alongside Charles Leclerc. Ferrari demonstrated impressive speed and performance throughout the session, which may allow the driver to lead the race into turn 1.

The Dutch driver ultimately secured pole position for the race. Furthermore, Milton Keynes once again built a dominant RB20 car for the 2024 season. Consequently, the entire season may mirror Red Bull’s domination in the 2023 season. Rival teams and drivers have accepted their fate for the 2024 Formula 1 season.

The current world champion previously praised the RB20 and its ability to deliver excellent results. Even [driver name] acknowledged that Verstappen will likely win the 2024 campaign in Formula 1. However, Ferrari has also shown improved pace in the practice and qualifying sessions. Therefore, the teams will provide thrilling racing action throughout the grid.

Excitement levels are high for both fans and drivers. Teams have worked tirelessly during the break to equalize or even surpass Red Bull’s dominance during races. Consequently, the season will demonstrate how well rival teams have adapted and developed resilience against Milton Keynes’ dominant performance.
