The second free practice of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix lasted just under ten minutes for Carlos Sainz. All due to a spectacular crash.
The incident happened in the area of turn three of the Yas Marina circuit. The driver lost control of the Ferrari on a more aggressive bump on the track and crashed heavily into the barriers.
Although Sainz walked away unharmed, the same cannot be said for the Ferrari and the barriers, which had to be repaired. This led to a long interruption with a red flag.
