In the narrative, Pitt’s character, a former Formula 1 driver, transitions to the world of endurance racing following the conclusion of his Formula 1 career. A young star in the racing world, portrayed by Damson Idris, necessitates mentorship, prompting the team to enlist the expertise of Pitt’s character.

He said, “I play Sonny Hayes, a racer from the 1990s who experiences a dreadful crash, falls out of the spotlight, and then finds himself racing in different disciplines.”
The plot thickens as his friend, a team owner played by Javier Bardem, reaches out to him. Their team is in the last place, consistently ranking 21-22 on the grid without a single point to their name.
