Brad Keselowski is known for his humorous interactions with the press. The Cup garage is currently at the Dover Monster Mile for the 11th race of the 2024 Cup season. Out of the 36 full-time drivers, one is out of the race. The Legacy Motor Club handed over the keys to the Toyota Camry No:43 to a Truck Series driver, who is filling in for the regular driver. The former Xfinity Series champion cannot compete due to an injury suffered in an accident last week at Talladega. For the drivers, it’s a disheartening experience to see someone else driving the car that was made for them. The 2012 Cup champion emphasized how terrible it is, using a funny analogy. The owner-driver of RFK Racing compared the feeling to finding out that his wife is cheating with someone else. “I’ve never seen someone sleeping with my wife, but I imagine it would be something similar,” Keselowski commented, discussing the emotions associated with someone else driving his car while Corey Heim makes his NASCAR Cup Series debut. Legacy MC has not yet decided if Erik Jones will return to racing the following week after Dover, as he is still recovering. Jones had mentioned before the race that he is improving every day and hopes to return soon. Meanwhile, Heim is seizing the opportunity and is determined to prove his worth. After the conversation about Erik Jones, Keselowski was asked about the Ford team’s losing streak in 2024 and RFK’s approach to it. He emphasized that his priority is to work on it with RFK and put in the necessary effort, as they need a positive breakthrough. At the moment, the former champion needs to be more selfish, as his goal is not only to end Ford’s or RFK’s losing streak, but also to end his own personal losing streak with the team. He has not won a single race since leaving Team Penske in 2021.
