VÍDEO: Austin Cindric e Noah Gragson batem violentamente na barreira em Sonoma.

The promising Ford driver, Austin Cindric, had a disastrous race in Sonoma. The NASCAR Cup Series event in Sonoma was filled with intense moments, including multiple accidents and collisions. Cindric, who won the Gateway Enjoy Illinois 350 last week, found himself involved in several incidents on the track, one of which resulted in a strong collision with the wall.

During lap 40 of the 110-lap race, Cindric, driving the No. 2 Ford Mustang for Team Penske Racing, collided with Stewart Haas Racing and Front Row Motorsports. The trio spun out and hit the wall, causing damage to the safety barrier that needed to be repaired before the race could continue.

Cindric’s troubles did not end there. A few laps earlier, he spun out and nearly flipped after entering the mud on the track. Despite recovering from that incident, he found himself involved in another accident. This highlights the challenging season he had in 2024 before his recent victory.

Meanwhile, Michael McDowell was the first to escape the gravel after the crash and managed to recover easily, finishing in second place behind the race winner. Cindric, who started the race in 15th place, finished in 22nd place, while Gragson, who started in 11th place, could only secure 26th place.

After the race, the 2022 Daytona 500 champion took to social media to share his thoughts on the race and the multiple incidents he was involved in. He described the race as an adventure due to the numerous incidents he faced.

Cindric entered the race with high hopes of capitalizing on the momentum from his previous win, but unfortunately, he was unable to achieve the same level of success. Despite the disappointing result, he can take solace in being the only Penske driver with a spot in the playoffs.

However, it is crucial for Cindric to improve his driving skills and correct any mistakes made by his team, as these factors have contributed to the decline in his performance. It will be intriguing to see how the No:2 Ford team will recover from this setback.
