Verstappen: Vitória na Sprint do Grande Prêmio de Fórmula 1 de Miami é uma ‘situação de pesadelo’

Max Verstappen, the winner of the Sprint race in Miami, expressed his hope that the balance issues he faced with his Red Bull Formula 1 car were the worst-case scenario, despite still managing to secure the victory. Starting from pole position, Verstappen skillfully maneuvered to overtake Charles Leclerc at Turn 1 and maintain his lead. Despite his complaints about the lack of grip throughout the race, Verstappen managed to maintain a comfortable advantage ahead of Leclerc, winning by 3.3 seconds. This dominant performance sends a clear message to his competitors and establishes a solid foundation for the upcoming sessions of the weekend.

Verstappen acknowledged that there is still room for improvement, especially in qualifying. He highlighted the challenges of getting the tires to perform optimally on the track, emphasizing the importance of consistency. However, he remains optimistic that with adjustments to the car’s balance, his race performance will improve, making them even more competitive.

Reflecting on the free practice sessions, Verstappen admitted that his initial setup was ideal during FP1, but encountered difficulties in the subsequent sessions. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to make changes during parc fermé, as it allows them to address the issues they faced. Verstappen emphasized the importance of being able to adapt and make adjustments, as being stuck with an unfavorable setup could ruin the entire weekend.

Overall, Verstappen’s victory in the Sprint race in Miami was impressive, considering the challenges he faced with the car’s balance. However, he remains focused on improvements and additional adjustments to maximize his performance in qualifying and the race.
