Max Verstappen, the Dutch driver for Red Bull Racing, commented on the ongoing investigation into the alleged misconduct of Team Principal Christian Horner. Verstappen emphasized the need for patience while awaiting the outcome of the investigation. Horner, who has denied the accusations, remains in his position as Team Principal and has expressed his commitment to the team. Verstappen refused to give his opinion on the investigation, stating that it is not his case and he does not wish to get involved. He expressed confidence in the process and highlighted the importance of patience. Verstappen also confirmed that the investigation has not affected his performance on the track and emphasized the unity within the team. Horner has been with Red Bull as Team Principal since 2005.

The Team Principal of Red Bull Racing is present in Bahrain once again for this week’s Grand Prix, amidst an imminent conclusion of the investigation. Verstappen was asked about the potential impact if Horner remains absent from the team activities.

“If, for some reason, the head of your team disappears for one or two races, it won’t have much effect because everyone knows their role,” Verstappen stated.

“They understand their short-term responsibilities, but it’s all about managing people over time. Eventually, things will start to change if one of the leaders is no longer present.

“However, we are not thinking that way. As I mentioned before, we trust the process we are currently in as a team. We are looking forward to seeing the outcome and in the meantime, everyone is fully focused on performing well on the track. The atmosphere is positive and we are excited to get back to racing.”

During Wednesday’s press conference, Lewis Hamilton, who was also present, was asked about the investigation and the associated allegations, and what that means for Formula 1 as a sport that values inclusion, justice, and diversity.

“Naturally, it’s a challenging question,” Hamilton began.

“We should always strive to create a safe and inclusive environment for everyone involved in the sport, and any allegations should be taken seriously.

“Of course, we don’t have all the details yet, but it is crucial that this issue is resolved as it is overshadowing the sport at the moment.

“It will be fascinating to see how this is addressed in the future and the potential impact it may have on the future of the sport.

This is a crucial moment for Formula 1, and it is important that we remain true to our values.
