Verstappen Unleashes Fury – Red Bull’s Critical Issues Exposed Despite Japan GP Triumph

Max Verstappen, the reigning four-time World Champion, has stormed to pole position at the Japanese Grand Prix, but the victory comes with a twist. Despite his exceptional performance, the Red Bull driver has opened up about the team’s ongoing struggles and “clear issues” with the RB21.

Verstappen’s pole position, his first of the F1 2025 season, saw him edge out Lando Norris from McLaren by a mere 0.012 seconds. This triumph follows a challenging period for Red Bull, with Verstappen finishing a disappointing fourth in the previous race in China.

In a post-qualifying press conference, Verstappen candidly described the difficulties of driving the Red Bull RB21 at Suzuka, stating, “Maybe, if you want to drive the car, you can give it a go. I think you’re going to poop your pants!”

Despite the exhilaration of securing pole position, Verstappen acknowledged the car’s tricky nature during qualifying, emphasizing the need for a more balanced and drivable setup.

The Dutch driver’s concerns were further echoed by Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko, who disclosed that Verstappen had addressed these issues with the team’s engineers in a recent meeting at the Milton Keynes factory.

Verstappen’s teammate, Yuki Tsunoda, showcased promising pace early in the weekend but struggled in qualifying, emphasizing the team’s main challenge with mid-corner balance in the RB21.

While celebrating his 41st career pole, Verstappen emphasized that the team is far from resolving their issues, stating, “We still have clear issues that we need to solve.”

The unexpected pole position at Suzuka has been hailed as one of Verstappen’s best in F1, with the driver himself admitting the achievement was “very unexpected” given the team’s recent struggles.

As Red Bull continues to grapple with their car’s performance, all eyes are on Verstappen as he navigates the complexities of the F1 season amidst fierce competition from rivals McLaren and others.

Stay tuned as the drama unfolds on the track, and Verstappen battles not just his competitors but also the internal challenges within the Red Bull team.
