Verstappen Sparks Fury with False Accusations as FIA Refutes Red Bull’s Protest

In a shocking turn of events at the Miami Grand Prix, Max Verstappen finds himself in hot water with the FIA as they reject Red Bull’s protest. Martin Brundle accuses Verstappen of “telling tales out of school” regarding George Russell’s alleged failure to slow down during yellow-flag conditions.

The race in Florida was not without its drama, with Virtual Safety Cars deployed due to multiple retirements on track. Red Bull’s decision to pit Verstappen just before one of these VSC periods backfired, allowing Russell to overtake him in the pit cycle.

Verstappen, known for his eagle-eyed observations, claimed that Russell did not adhere to the yellow-flag rules. However, the stewards ruled in Russell’s favor, stating that he had indeed lifted off the throttle as required. Despite Red Bull’s protest, the decision stood, leaving Verstappen’s credibility in question.

Brundle’s analysis sheds light on the intense battle between Verstappen and Russell, with the latter facing challenges both on and off the track. While Russell’s podium finish was well-deserved, Verstappen’s allegations added a controversial twist to the race.

The FIA’s rejection of Red Bull’s protest marks another chapter in the ongoing rivalry between the top F1 teams. As the season progresses, tensions are sure to rise, and Verstappen will need to stay vigilant to avoid further controversies that could jeopardize his title defense.
