Max Verstappen Fires Back at Critics Over Nordschleife GT3 Controversy

Formula 1 superstar Max Verstappen is not one to back down from a challenge, especially when it comes to false claims about his recent GT3 outing at the iconic Nordschleife circuit. A recent lap time set by “Mr. Franz Hermann” in a Ferrari 296 GT3 raised eyebrows, but it was later revealed that it was actually the four-time F1 World Champion himself going undercover during the test session.

Verstappen, known for his competitive spirit, set the record straight by stating, “Don’t spread things when you don’t know.” Despite not officially disclosing his lap time, Verstappen hinted that it was below the existing record but emphasized that his main goal was to have fun and familiarize himself with the track alongside his team.

However, Mercedes DTM driver Marco Engel entered the fray by shedding light on the specifications of Verstappen’s GT3 car, causing a stir in the motorsport community. Engel’s comments prompted a swift response from Verstappen, who refuted the claims of improper car setup and engine settings, asserting his authority on the matter.

The exchange between Verstappen and Engel escalated, with the Dutch driver expressing his eagerness to compete in the Nurburgring 24 Hours with his GT3 team in the future. Despite concerns raised by individuals like Ralf Schumacher regarding the risks of testing at the Nordschleife, Verstappen defended his preparation, citing extensive simulator training to familiarize himself with the challenging circuit.

As Verstappen continues to push boundaries on and off the track, his Nordschleife escapade serves as a testament to his relentless pursuit of excellence and thirst for new challenges. Stay tuned as the racing prodigy gears up for future endeavors that are sure to keep fans and critics alike on the edge of their seats.
