Max Verstappen, the Dutch driver of Red Bull Racing, is confident that his team can solve the long-standing problem of the car’s inability to handle bumps and curbs without compromising its aerodynamic strengths. Although the problem was less pronounced in the recent Canadian Grand Prix, Verstappen believes it still hampers his performance. However, he remains optimistic that a solution can be found without affecting other aspects of the car. Verstappen expressed his eagerness for races where curbs and bumps are less concerning. The team principal of Red Bull, Christian Horner, echoed Verstappen’s sentiments, noting improvements in their performance at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve compared to Monaco. Horner emphasized the need for balance between aerodynamics and the ability to navigate the curbs, and highlighted the team’s competitiveness in sector three despite the car’s stiffness. He believes that unlocking the full potential of the car will result in improved lap times.
