Verstappen e Norris colidem, dando vitória a Russell no Grande Prêmio da Áustria.

In a thrilling turn of events at the Austrian Grand Prix, George Russell and Mercedes emerged as the winners after a dramatic collision between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris. Verstappen dominated the race, building a significant lead over Norris. However, Verstappen’s struggles with the hard tires and a slow pit stop allowed Norris to close the gap. The two drivers engaged in a fierce battle, with Norris briefly overtaking Verstappen but losing the position due to a track limits violation. In the end, the collision between the two resulted in punctures and damage to their cars. Norris retired, while Verstappen finished fifth after receiving a penalty. Russell, who was consistently strong throughout the race, capitalized on the incident and secured a well-deserved victory.

Meanwhile, Norris’ teammate, Oscar Piastri, had a great performance but was hindered by a controversial penalty for exceeding track limits in qualifying. Despite starting seventh on the grid, Piastri showcased impressive skills as he stood out in the pack, overtaking several competitors, including Hamilton and Sainz. He finished just 1.9 seconds behind Russell, highlighting his potential.

Carlos Sainz secured a podium finish, while Hamilton had a disappointing race, finishing in fourth place. The Haas team also had a standout performance, with Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen scoring points. Their success was attributed to early pit stops and effective tire management. On the other hand, Perez faced challenges due to damage sustained in an incident with Piastri and Leclerc on the first lap. Leclerc only managed to finish in 11th place, while Ricciardo and Gasly completed the points-scoring positions.

In general, the Austrian Grand Prix provided an exciting spectacle, with unexpected twists and turns that ultimately led George Russell and Mercedes to celebrate a long-awaited victory.
