Vasseur: Ferrari manterá a ‘mesma estratégia’ apesar de contratempo no GP do Canadá da F1

The Chief of the Ferrari Team, Frederic Vasseur, emphasized that the team will maintain its current strategy, despite a challenging weekend at the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix. After a successful performance in Monaco, where the SF-24 proved to be the most competitive car, Ferrari faced difficulties with tire temperatures in Montreal, resulting in the elimination of both drivers in Q2 and the failure to finish the race. Charles Leclerc had engine problems early on, which caused him to lose significant time, while Carlos Sainz spun and collided with Alex Albon. Vasseur reflected on whether this was the team’s worst performance since taking over in 2022, acknowledging that it was not the best, but emphasizing the need to remain focused and united. Ferrari’s recent success in Monaco reduced the gap to Red Bull, but Max Verstappen’s victory increased the deficit. Vasseur acknowledged that setbacks are inevitable but emphasized the importance of maintaining a consistent approach. Now, Ferrari will prepare for the Spanish Grand Prix, trailing Red Bull by 49 points, with McLaren a further 40 points behind in third place.
