Buckle Up! Valtteri Bottas to Rev Up a Legendary Ferrari F1 Car in Thrilling One-Off Event!

In an electrifying announcement that has sent shockwaves through the motorsport community, Valtteri Bottas is set to take the wheel of a historic Ferrari Formula 1 car during a sensational one-off appearance in Australia! The Finnish driver will step into the iconic 1985 Scuderia Ferrari 156/85 at the Adelaide Motorsport Festival, scheduled for February 28 and March 1. This rare opportunity promises to be a spectacle for fans and a nostalgic trip down memory lane for F1 enthusiasts.

Bottas, who is gearing up for a comeback with Cadillac, will make this special appearance just a week before returning to the competitive F1 scene in Melbourne, where he will join forces with fellow veteran Sergio Perez in a Ferrari-powered Silverstone-based team. The 36-year-old, who spent the previous year with Mercedes, is determined to showcase his skills and reclaim his position in the fast-paced world of Formula 1 following his departure from Sauber at the end of 2024.

The year 1985 holds a special place in F1 history, marking the inaugural race in Adelaide and setting the stage for a decade of thrilling competition in the city before the action shifted to the current Albert Park venue in 1996. Bottas will pilot the very chassis #27, once driven by the late Michele Alboreto, who narrowly lost the Constructors’ Championship that year despite securing two victories and a commendable second place in the Drivers’ standings.

As if that wasn’t enough, Bottas will also take a spin in a classic Holden HQ Monaro the day before, offering fans a double dose of automotive excitement. The Adelaide Motorsport Festival will not only feature his driving prowess but also provide an opportunity for meet-and-greets, allowing fans to connect with the F1 star on a personal level. For Bottas, this week promises to feel like home, as he and his Australian partner, the renowned cyclist Tiffany Cromwell, own a vineyard near Adelaide.

But that’s not all! Bottas is set to make his first appearance behind the wheel of a Cadillac at the highly anticipated closed-door test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya later this month, marking a new chapter in his racing career.

With adrenaline pumping and excitement in the air, motorsport fans worldwide are on the edge of their seats for this exhilarating event. Valtteri Bottas driving the legendary Ferrari 156/85 is a moment you won’t want to miss!
