Valentino Rossi Dominates LMGT3 Qualifying, Shatters Records at Imola

Valentino Rossi Makes History with First-Ever Pole Position in WEC LMGT3 at Imola

In a stunning turn of events, legendary MotoGP icon Valentino Rossi has secured his inaugural pole position in the competitive world of FIA World Endurance Championship’s LMGT3 category at Imola. The nine-time MotoGP World Champion delighted his home crowd by emerging victorious in the battle for the top qualifying spot.

The qualifying session for LMGT3 was a nail-biting affair, free from disruptions or incidents, allowing drivers to push their limits and fight for pole position. Rossi, known for his exceptional skills on two wheels, proved that his talent translates seamlessly to four wheels as he claimed the coveted pole position.

The qualifying format, which saw Bronze-graded drivers in the Q1 session and Silver-rated drivers in the Q2 Hyperpole session, added an extra layer of excitement to the competition. Ahmed Al Harthy set the pace in the Q1 session, but it was Rossi who ultimately stole the show with a blistering lap time in his #46 WRT BMW M4 LMGT3 Evo.

Although Rossi’s initial fastest lap was deleted due to track limits violations, he didn’t let that deter him and quickly set another impressive lap time of 1:42.355, securing his pole position. Clemens Schmid and Zach Robichon followed closely behind in second and third place, respectively.

The grid for the 6 Hours of Imola will see Rossi leading the pack, with a lineup of talented drivers ready to challenge his newfound supremacy. The stage is set for an exhilarating race, with top teams and drivers vying for victory in one of the most prestigious endurance championships in the world.

As the countdown to race day begins, all eyes will be on Rossi as he aims to convert his pole position into a triumphant victory on the iconic Imola circuit. Stay tuned for all the heart-pounding action as these elite drivers battle it out for endurance racing glory.
