Eventos incomuns na corrida da Academia de F1 na Arábia Saudita, vencedor cruza linha de chegada duas vezes.

The first race of the 2024 Formula One Academy season took place in Saudi Arabia. The F1 Academy, a series of races supported by Formula One, kicked off its season alongside the F1 as a Support Race. Drivers from all ten F1 teams took part in the race, and it was a Mercedes Academy driver who emerged victorious. She won both races of the weekend, making a perfect start to the season. However, there was a moment of confusion when she continued driving after the race had ended by mistake. The incident resulted in the red flag being waved.

Doriane Pin, the race winner, crossed the finish line twice without realizing that the race had ended. Officials may review the incident and consider applying a penalty, as this error could have serious consequences. In the past, the FIA has imposed severe penalties, including grid penalties. So far, no decision on a penalty has been made.

Abbi Pulling, driving for Rodin Motorsport, showed a strong performance throughout the race but couldn’t keep up with Pin’s pace. She had to settle for second place, with Weug finishing third and Marti fourth. Pulling, who is gaining points, will be motivated to challenge Pin for the championship title. The next race in Spain will be interesting to watch, as it will determine which racing team will stand out.
