Josh Berry, the NASCAR driver for Wood Brothers Racing, is gearing up for the highly anticipated Coca-Cola 600 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. With the race being the longest of the year, Berry is excited about the challenges and opportunities it presents.

Last year, Berry finished in 10th place at the event but was left unsatisfied as the race was cut short due to rain. This year, he is determined to make his mark and complete the full 600 miles of racing, which consists of 400 laps around the 1.5-mile North Carolina track.

Berry expressed his enthusiasm for the race during the All-Star Race media availability, highlighting the importance of balance and adaptability on the track. He is looking forward to showcasing the speed of his #21 Ford Mustang on the intermediates and aiming for a better finish this time around.

Describing the Coca-Cola 600 as a “crown jewel” in NASCAR, Berry emphasized the excitement surrounding the pre-race festivities and the special atmosphere at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. The event is scheduled for May 25, with TV coverage on Prime Video for the first time in the history of the stock car racing series.

Before the Coca-Cola 600, Berry will be competing in the NASCAR All-Star Race, where he has a shot at winning the $1 million prize money. Having already secured a victory earlier this year at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Berry is a strong contender for the main event on Sunday.

In a recent interview, Berry shared his sentiments about racing in Charlotte, North Carolina, a significant location in the world of NASCAR. He highlighted the importance of having friends and family in attendance, making the races even more special and memorable.

With NASCAR’s headquarters based in Daytona, Florida, North Carolina remains a hub for teams and drivers, including the iconic Wood Brothers Racing. The state boasts several renowned tracks on the calendar, adding to its allure as a racing destination.
