Ultra-Rare Aston Martin Zagato Collection Hits the Market: A $50 Million Dream for Sports Car Aficionados

If you’ve ever dreamed of owning the most exclusive, Italian-designed British sports cars, prepare to rev your engines. Aston Martin Works has announced the sale of four of its rarest Zagato-designed models, giving collectors a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire some of the most coveted Aston Martins ever crafted.

This breathtaking collection includes the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake, the Vanquish Speedster, and the Vanquish Volante, alongside the crown jewel of the bunch: the ultra-rare DBS GT Zagato. Produced to celebrate Italian coachbuilder Zagato’s 100th anniversary, the DBS GT Zagato is the rarest model, with only 19 units built worldwide. Under its sculpted hood lies a twin-turbo V-12 engine that delivers a staggering 760 horsepower. When launched, each of these masterpieces commanded a price tag of $7.8 million, and every purchase included a matching DB4 GT Zagato continuation model. Unfortunately, that classic counterpart isn’t part of this current sale.

The rest of the collection isn’t far behind in exclusivity. Aston Martin limited production of the Vanquish Zagato Volante and the Vanquish Shooting Brake to just 99 examples each, while the Vanquish Speedster saw an even more exclusive run of only 28 units. Each Vanquish model houses a roaring 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V-12 engine, boasting 592 horsepower and propelling the cars from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.5 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 200 mph. Originally, each model came with a $1 million price tag, underlining their elite status.

These four modern Zagato masterpieces are a rare sight even among Aston Martin’s exclusive lineup. Noticeably absent from the set, however, is the stylish Zagato Coupe, limited to 99 units and introduced in 2020 at a comparatively modest $765,000.

While Aston Martin Works has yet to reveal the official price for this remarkable quartet, experts speculate it could surpass $50 million—a “small” sum for those who value this blend of performance, heritage, and pure design perfection. For those lucky enough to secure them, these limited-edition Aston Martins promise not only to elevate their garage but to deliver a slice of automotive art that’s as thrilling as it is timeless.
