Ty Majeski’s Homestead-Miami Frustration: Pit Road Collision Sparks Heated Response

Ty Majeski, a star in the Truck Series, was looking to start the 2025 season on a high note, keen on replicating his previous season’s triumph with a win at Phoenix and clinching his maiden Truck Series championship. However, four races into the season, Majeski’s performance hasn’t quite matched his high hopes. Despite securing two top 5s, leading for only 14 laps, and still chasing his first victory, Majeski remained optimistic as he entered the Homestead Miami race.

Majeski, who started the race from P10, steadily climbed up the leaderboard as the race unfolded. But his promising run was abruptly disrupted during the final stage on the pit road, leading to an episode that saw him venting his frustration on Kaden Honeycutt, the driver of the #45 truck.

The incident occurred when Lane Riggs was exiting his pit lane, and Honeycutt, in an attempt to bypass him, switched lanes. The manoeuvre failed to take into account Majeski’s #98 truck approaching from behind, causing a collision that significantly damaged Majeski’s vehicle. While a minor bump could have been shrugged off, the sensitivity of these high-speed machines meant that the impact severely dented the #98 truck.

The damage forced Majeski to make an unscheduled pit stop, costing him his hard-earned track position. His truck’s nose was extensively damaged, prompting a call from his crew chief, Joe Shear Jr, over the radio, “The nose is pretty screwed up. We have to come in and fix it guys.” This led to an expletive-laden outburst from a visibly frustrated Majeski.

In the aftermath of the clash, Majeski returned to the pit lane where his crew had no option but to use a hammer to rectify the damage to the left front of his truck.

As we wait to see where Majeski ultimately finished in the race, his outburst has certainly ignited a debate. We invite you to share your thoughts on this incident in the comment section below.
