Nio alcança recorde de 136.720 troca de bateria de veículos elétricos em apenas um dia

Nio and its sub-brand Firefly will enter the national market in the last quarter of this year, where they will be represented by the JAP Group.

The two electric brands target different audiences, with Nio focusing on the premium segment, while Firefly is aimed at a “urban and digital” audience.

Nio thus joins other Chinese brands that have recently entrusted the JAP Group with their entry into the Portuguese market, such as Foton and GAC, strengthening the group’s position as a strategic partner of reference for global manufacturers in the electric and sustainable mobility sector.

Nio’s expansion in Portugal is part of a broader movement by the company, which also includes Greece, Cyprus, and Bulgaria, as well as the beginning of distribution in Denmark.

“Nio represents the future of ‘premium’ mobility, and we are proud to lead the brand’s entry into Portugal. Combining technological innovation, design, and a unique digital experience, this partnership reflects our commitment to sustainability and to leading in the new era of electric mobility”, said Jan Oehmicke, director of the JAP Group, in a statement.

Nio will make available in Portugal a comprehensive range of 100% electric models, designed to meet the demands of modern mobility, with a focus on the El6, ET5, and ET5 Touring models, as well as the Firefly.

It should be noted that in addition to premium models, Nio also stands out for innovative solutions such as the battery swap stations, which allow for the replacement of a depleted battery with a fully charged one in less than three minutes. “This innovative solution is currently under review and may be introduced to Portuguese customers in the future,” adds the statement from the JAP Group.
