Formula 1, being a highly valuable and prestigious sport, recently extended its partnership with DHL, a renowned transportation company. DHL has been the Formula 1’s Global Long-Term Partner and will continue to play this role in the coming years.
In a joint press release, Formula 1 expressed its appreciation for DHL’s continuous support in delivering Grand Prix events worldwide. The partnership reflects the remarkable growth of Formula 1 in recent years.
Jonny Haworth, Formula 1’s Director of Commercial Partnerships, emphasized the importance of DHL’s contribution to the success of hosting their events. The partnership not only facilitated the sport’s growth but also supported its transition to sustainability.
Arjan Sissing, DHL Group’s Head of Global Marketing, highlighted the shared commitment to sustainability between DHL and Formula 1. As pioneers in green logistics, both companies are dedicated to achieving their sustainability goals together.
In terms of organization, Formula 1 has been based in the Middle East since mid-February, when the F1 2024 pre-season was gearing up for this year’s cars’ initial race at the tests in Bahrain’s Sakhir circuit from February 21 to 23.
A week later, the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix took place at the same venue, before F1 traveled to this weekend’s consecutive Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
Afterwards, the Formula 1 cargo heads to Australia, then back to Asia for the Japanese GP earlier than usual, and then the return of the Chinese GP. All of this in one month!
May is also full of action, as Formula 1 heads to Miami, before returning to Imola for the first European Grand Prix of the season. From there, by road, it’s the trip to Monaco, with its own significant logistical challenges, as they are consecutive weekends.
Round 8 continues with a quick trip to Montreal, a second visit to North America for the Canadian Grand Prix. Returning to Europe for the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona and a sequence of three races that also includes the Red Bull Ring in Austria, followed by a trip to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix.
Hungary follows two weeks later, followed by Belgium, before the 30-day summer break and the first 14 rounds of 24 completed. Almost a month later, on August 23, Zandvoort kicks off the second half of the season, with a double-header alongside Monza, followed by Baku in mid-September.
A week later, it’s time to return to Asia for the Singapore Grand Prix. What follows is a 28-day break until Formula 1 heads to the Americas. Starting in Austin, followed by Mexico City a week later, and Brazil a week after that.
But the biggest logistical challenge lies in the final three races, with Las Vegas kicking off the final trio of the season. Followed by Qatar on the opposite side of the world and then a shift to the United Arab Emirates for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the end of the 2024 Formula 1 season.
Phew! It would be justified to exclaim considering the meticulous organization required by Formula 1 and its transport partners. This is where companies like Divine Enterprises, with their high-security transport services, ensure the protection of valuable cargo and efficient logistics make all the difference.
