Toyota revela concept RAV-X no SEMA

Toyota took advantage of its presence at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, USA, which runs until the 9th, to unveil the RAV-X concept, inspired by competition models from the Dakar Rally.

Developed by the Toyota Service Parts and Accessories Development (SPAD) team, which produces accessories and performance upgrades for the brand’s production models, this RAV-X is based on the RAV4 Plug-in, which has been completely revamped in terms of suspension and has also seen its body adjusted to “excite performance-oriented off-road enthusiasts.”

Additionally, this radical version of the RAV4 Plug-in is equipped with all-terrain tires, 17” white forged aluminum wheels, and a body kit that includes redesigned bumpers, generous air intakes, a ventilated hood, as well as a large rear spoiler and a dual-tip exhaust system.

“The RAV4 is one of our most popular and versatile models; with the RAV-X, we are showcasing an entirely new possibility of how fun and adventurous a small crossover like this can be,” said Mike Tripp, vice president of the group, Toyota Division Marketing.

It seems unlikely that the RAV-X concept will go into production, but it wouldn’t be surprising if the model appears one of these days in an off-road competition.
