Toyota presented the Sport Crossover Concept for the first time in Europe, anticipating a new battery electric model that will join its electrified range by 2025.
Revealed at the Toyota Kenshiki forum in Brussels, this concept car exhibits a style similar to the C-HR, with a roof that extends to and slopes towards the rear, resembling a coupe, despite being a taller model with a sporty and modern design, primarily aimed at younger customers.
The Sport Crossover Concept was first presented at the Auto Shanghai salon in April of this year and was developed for the Chinese and European markets by BYD Toyota EV Technology Co. (BTET) – a joint venture established in China by Toyota and BYD, already responsible for the production of the bZ3.
Recall that in Europe, the Japanese brand plans to launch six 100% electric models by 2026, on a path to achieve the goal of having a range exclusively composed of zero-emission vehicles by 2035 and achieving complete carbon neutrality by 2040.
