Toyota aponta ao futuro da mobilidade elétrica com cartuchos de hidrogénio

Toyota is one of the brands that has been working to boost the hydrogen economy and elevate emission-free technology to a new level.

In this way, the Japanese brand is now preparing to raise the bar in terms of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, as Toyota is ready to present a series of developments at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show Bizweek 2024, which will take place from October 15 to 18, including portable hydrogen cartridges.

Thus, the Japanese automaker expects that the hydrogen cartridges can be used to power these fuel cells and generate electricity, which, if confirmed, will allow for easier refueling of a vehicle.

Toyota’s research work on a multi-energy approach to electric mobility has allowed the brand to reduce the size and weight of hydrogen tanks to make them portable, aiming to make hydrogen a “safe and family-friendly energy source that can enable varied uses.”

However, the great potential of these hydrogen cartridges may indeed lie in their use in the automotive sector, allowing owners of hydrogen-powered models to quickly swap cartridges to refuel the vehicle.
