Toyota has ordered the recall of more than 590,000 vehicles in the U.S. due to a problem with the instrument panel display that does not show critical information, thereby increasing the risk of an accident.
The information was revealed this Thursday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), which indicates that the recall covers 591,377 units of various models, including Venza, Highlander, Lexus, Tacoma, and the Corolla GR.
According to the NHTSA, a software error in the instrument panel prevents the driver from accessing warnings about vehicle speed, braking system, and tire pressure.
