Toyota is once again the most valuable automotive brand in the world, according to the “Best Global Brands 2024” study published by Interbrand, a global brand consulting entity, which ranked Toyota as the most valuable automotive brand by placing it in the sixth position of the study.

The study, which analyzes the 100 most valuable companies, estimates Toyota’s value at $72.8 billion (approximately €66.5 billion), representing a 13% growth compared to its value in 2023.

Toyota is recognized as a pioneer in automotive electrification, with over 27 years of experience in this field and more than 27 million electrified vehicles sold worldwide since the launch of the first-generation Prius in 1997 – the first mass-produced hybrid car.

Furthermore, the Japanese brand has become a reference in the automotive industry for its pioneering efforts and commitment to finding environmentally friendly solutions for all customers in each region, focusing on a multi-path approach with the implementation of various technologies, including HEVs (Hybrid Electric Vehicles), PHEVs (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles), BEVs (Battery Electric Vehicles), and FCEVs (Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles).

The podium of the most valuable companies in the automotive sector in the “Best Global Brands 2024” is completed by Mercedes-Benz, which occupies the eighth position in the ranking with an estimated value of $58.9 billion, representing a 4% increase compared to last year, while BMW holds the 10th position with an estimated value of $52 billion, a growth of 2% compared to 2023.

It is worth noting that Interbrand launched the “Best Global Brands” report about 22 years ago to provide marketing professionals, investors, and consumers with unprecedented information about the state of the brands that have defined modern consumerism and the evolution of the sectors in which they operate.
