Toyota FT-Se: futuro desportivo 100% elétrico apresentado na Europa

The Toyota remains committed to showing that electric mobility can very well contribute to the development of high-performance sports models, the Japanese brand has unveiled in Europe the 100% electric two-seater concept car called FT-Se.

Revealed at the Toyota Kenshiki forum in Brussels, this model created by the Japanese brand’s sports division anticipates the brand’s sports future, incorporating the experience gained by GAZOO Racing to create increasingly better cars through its involvement in motorsport, the FT-Se concept car presents a vision of how a driver’s relationship with their vehicle will evolve and deepen.

FT-Se is an acronym for ‘Future Toyota Sports Electric’, the FT-Se is a high-performance concept car for the carbon-neutral era. It reveals an elegant and low silhouette, characteristic of a pure two-seater sports car, with next-generation Toyota battery electric propulsion technology.

With a height of only 1220 mm and a width of 1895 mm, this model recalls memories of classic sports cars from the past. With a length of 4380 mm, it stands out for its aerodynamic lines, distinct trapezoidal shapes, and evocative rear spoiler.

Toyota reveals that this 100% electric sports car is powered by the latest generation of batteries, with reduced height and high energy density, which are a determining factor for the FT-Se to expand the limits of performance. This technology, combined with the reduction in size and weight of components such as the engine, transmission, and air conditioning unit, opens up new possibilities in advancing the traditional qualities of sports cars, such as the ability to corner with stability, agile behavior, and confident braking.

Inside, the state-of-the-art cockpit features intuitive controls and offers a more engaging driving experience, with a low dashboard favoring visibility. The new padded knee supports protect the driver and passenger from the impacts generated by G-forces during driving, whether on the road or in the FT-Se’s natural habitat, the racetrack.

In addition, the FT-Se can continue to evolve through continuous software updates, while also aiming to reflect the driver’s lifestyle and individual values through customization and convenience functions for smooth use.

The FT-Se concept car is Toyota’s vision of how a battery electric sports car can become a unique vehicle to accelerate the driver’s heartbeat and promote a long-term bond.
