Toyota EPU: a 100% electric concept with its debut scheduled for the Tokyo Motor Show.

 Toyota intends to be one of the highlights of the Tokyo Motor Show (Japan Mobility Show), and after already announcing that it will take advantage of the event to present the Land Cruiser Se prototype, a 100% electric model, it has now surprised by revealing the concept of a new fully electric pick-up truck, which may anticipate the future Hilux.

This is the EPU concept, a double cab pick-up truck with four doors, 4.88 meters in length, 1.83 meters in height, and a wheelbase of 3.5 meters, and it features a spacious cargo platform without compromising its elegant and modern design.

The interior features a more futuristic design with two partially overlapping screens, one for the instrument panel and the other for the infotainment system, along with a joystick-style steering wheel.

With a monocoque body that offers greater durability to create a practical and elegant 100% electric vehicle, Toyota promises that the pick-up will be equipped with a versatile cargo platform to meet a wide range of applications.

The Japanese brand did not reveal technical details of this EPU Concept, but it is expected to have four-wheel drive and be based on Toyota’s platform for electric models.
