The new generation of the Toyota C-HR has achieved the maximum 5-star rating in the latest EuroNCAP safety tests.
The Toyota model developed for the European market obtained a rating of 85% for adult passenger safety, and 86% for child protection, with Euro NCAP highlighting the test results that showed “good protection for all critical areas of the body.”
In terms of protection for vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists, the Toyota C-HR scored 86%, and in terms of safety assistance systems, the Toyota model received 79%.
It is worth noting that the variant tested by Euro NCAP was equipped with a hybrid system, the 1.8L HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) which combines a 98 hp four-cylinder gasoline engine with a 94 hp electric motor, for a maximum combined power of 140 hp, acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 9.9 seconds, and a maximum speed of 170 km/h.
