Toyota has announced that the C-HR has just reached an important milestone by achieving one million sales in Europe by the end of the year.
Launched in 2016, the C-HR is a flagship model for Toyota, attracting a new style-conscious audience thanks to its bold design, fun driving character, and premium quality.
The model that set a new style benchmark in the European C-SUV segment benefits from a sophisticated design and sharp edges, reminiscent of the dynamic lines of a sports coupe.
Throughout its two generations, the Toyota C-HR has maintained strong sales performance and is one of the most sought-after models in the Japanese automaker’s lineup.
Meanwhile, the new Toyota C-HR PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) has significantly contributed to the annual 93% increase in plug-in hybrid sales for the Japanese brand.
The latest Toyota C-HR range includes, for the first time, a plug-in hybrid with an all-electric range of up to 66 km (WLTP combined).
Your PHEV propulsion group consists of a 163 hp electric motor at the front axle, powered by a 13.6 kWh lithium-ion battery, along with a 2.0-liter engine with 152 hp. This provides a total system power of 223 hp, helping the C-HR Plug-in Hybrid 220 accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds.
Alongside the Plug-in Hybrid 220, the HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) engine of the Toyota C-HR Hybrid 140 features a 1.8-liter engine with 140 hp.
