Toto Wolff worries about Andrea Kimi Antonelli being exposed to George Russell’s impressive abilities in Formula 1.

George Russell has been driving for Mercedes since 2022 and he even outperformed Lewis Hamilton in his first season for the German team.

Mercedes team principal has expressed a strong desire to sign F2 sensation for a long time. The Silver Arrows have yet to finalize their driver lineup for the 2025 F1 season.

If the Brackley-based team signs him for next year, Kimi Antonelli would join alongside . Russell has been in impressive form since his debut for Mercedes in 2022 and has accumulated 116 points this season.

Toto Wolff has praised George Russell’s exceptional skills on the track and emphasized the team’s need to sign a driver of equal competence for the upcoming season. Wolff has indicated that Kimi Antonelli may face the demand and pressure to perform at the same level as Russell next year.

Kimi Antonelli must continue to work hard to achieve positive results in order to earn a promotion to F1. Meanwhile, George Russell also aims for continued progress as the current season enters its second half.

Mercedes driver has been in excellent form in recent races. Hamilton recently discussed his former team’s chances of clinching the 2024 world championship after his victory at Spa-Francorchamps.

Lewis Hamilton spoke highly of McLaren and their performances this season. The seven-time world champion reminded the Papayas of a time when he was significantly behind in the title race but still managed to secure the championship.

By doing so, Hamilton demonstrated to the Woking-based team the possibility of overcoming their deficit with self-belief and confidence. McLaren will now strive to deliver their best performances yet in order to secure the title during the second half of the season.
