It has been over a month since it was announced that [Driver] would be parting ways with [Team]. This has put [Team] in a challenging position to find a replacement for the outgoing world champion, and the time to announce the new driver is approaching. The team boss revealed a timeline for announcing Hamilton’s successor.

The paddock has been buzzing with rumors about who will secure the seat at the Silver Arrows for the 2025 season. Some sources suggest that [Driver] may be moving to Brackley, while others believe that [Driver] is the perfect candidate to replace the British driver. Amidst all the speculation, Toto Wolff recently addressed the situation and outlined the proposed timeline for deciding Hamilton’s partner at Mercedes.

Wolff was asked when the team plans to finalize the selection for the second seat at Mercedes. In response, the Austrian stated:

The 52-year-old emphasized that the team will take the necessary time before making a decision. It seems they are waiting for the situations at [Team] to become clearer. If there is an opportunity to lure Max Verstappen from Red Bull and bring him to Brackley, the team will wait and evaluate all options before reaching a final verdict.

When do you plan to make the decision about your driver? Toto Wolff: I think we will wait. We will wait. We have some interesting options. And the more we can evaluate how the season unfolds, young drivers versus more experienced, that will not… pic.twitter.com/UWAQ3dpXdY

The current situation in Milton Keynes has raised doubts about Verstappen’s future with the reigning champions. Despite being under contract until 2028, there is speculation that Verstappen may join Mercedes if circumstances remain the same. However, Wolff shared his perspective on the matter during a recent media interaction.

When asked about the possibility of Verstappen joining the Silver Arrows, Wolff stated:

The Austrian seemed confident that Verstappen would not leave Red Bull anytime soon. He explained that it is natural for any driver to want to be in the fastest car, and currently, Mercedes is not the fastest on the Formula 1 grid.

However, fans around the world are eager to find out who will secure the seat at Mercedes, especially considering the high level of competition. In the coming months, Wolff and the team will reveal the driver who will represent the German team in the next season.
