Toto Wolff diz que Lewis Hamilton mostrou uma velocidade incrível no Grande Prêmio do Canadá.

Lewis Hamilton achieved a respectable fourth place in the Canadian Grand Prix. The Mercedes team demonstrated a significant improvement in race performance. Brackley had a disappointing start to the 2024 season, making the Canadian weekend a crucial opportunity for the German manufacturer to continue with its upgrades. It was highlighted that Hamilton drove exceptionally well, although he missed the chance to reach the podium.

Mercedes implemented several upgrades on their medium W15 car at the event. These improvements proved to be beneficial, as George Russell and Lewis Hamilton finished in third and fourth place, respectively. However, the seven-time world champion failed to secure a spot on the podium due to some issues. Nevertheless, both drivers recorded impressive lap times during the practice sessions.

Wolff praised the performance of the 39-year-old driver in the race. After Hamilton led the FP3 session, Wolff described his lap as extraordinary and incredibly fast. The team boss also emphasized the exceptional performance of the former world champion during the race.

Lewis Hamilton was visibly disappointed with his fourth place after a fierce battle on the track. The British driver had the pace to compete for first place. However, George Russell overtook him, denying him the chance to reach the podium. Despite the disappointing start to the season, Wolff believed that a third and fourth place were praiseworthy.

However, according to the team boss, both drivers acknowledged that there were better results within their reach. This led to a slightly negative feeling between them. However, considering the impressive performance during the Canadian weekend, both drivers would likely have been satisfied with a third and fourth place.

The team based in Brackley has the potential to achieve better results than their initial performances this season. The team has shown promise after implementing improvements to the chassis. However, they are still behind the leading teams in the constructors’ championship. Therefore, Toto Wolff and his team have a significant amount of work ahead to improve their position in the championship.
