Mercedes in the center of conspiracy theories
Mercedes has been the center of numerous unfounded allegations about its performance compared to other teams. Conspiracy theorists claim that Mercedes intentionally sabotaged Lewis Hamilton in favor of George Russell. However, team boss Toto Wolff vehemently denied these allegations and responded to the conspiracies.
Hamilton has struggled to surpass Russell in the 2024 season. However, his recent podium was a significant improvement. In light of this, Wolff vehemently refuted previous accusations of sabotage by the Brackley team to Hamilton’s chassis.
Wolff expressed his lack of respect for conspiracy theorists, labeling them as “brainless”. He emphasized his desire for a winning car capable of securing victories and championships. The Austrian suggested that those who cannot comprehend this should consider watching a different sport.
The entire Mercedes team celebrated Hamilton’s first podium of the season. This achievement followed Russell’s first podium in the previous race, demonstrating the effectiveness of Mercedes’ mid-season upgrades. Wolff was thrilled to see the seven-time world champion achieve such success.
