Toto Wolff acredita que a Red Bull continua sendo o padrão a ser batido apesar das recentes performances ruins nas últimas corridas.

Hello, how are you doing today? I hope you are having a great day.

I am looking forward to our meeting tomorrow. Let’s discuss the upcoming project and finalize the details.

Red Bull was surpassed by Ferrari at the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix. Max Verstappen, Oscar Piasri, and Toto Wolff (Via: Imago). The Mercedes Team Principal spoke about how Red Bull continues to set the standards in Formula 1, despite their recent disappointing performances. The Austrian team faced difficulties at the Monaco GP and was vulnerable to McLaren at the Imola stage. Toto Wolff claims that Mercedes showed a significant improvement at the Monaco GP, displaying promising speed during the practice sessions. However, their success was short-lived as they did not perform well in qualifying compared to McLaren and Ferrari. The Woking team and Ferrari have emerged as leaders in their latest development efforts and seem strong enough to challenge for the drivers’ and constructors’ championships. However, Wolff insists that Red Bull is still the team to beat despite their drop in performance compared to rivals. Mercedes has been struggling this season despite recent advances. They still remain as the fourth fastest team on the grid, behind Red Bull, Ferrari, and McLaren. As the season progresses, the Brackley team will seek to reduce the gap to Red Bull and McLaren in order to have a chance to compete for podiums and victories. Toto Wolff shared his thoughts on comments made by Lewis Hamilton regarding George Russell’s performance in Monaco qualifying. Hamilton was outperformed by Russell in qualifying in seven out of the eight races this year. Previously, Lewis Hamilton stated that updates to Russell’s car helped him find more speed during qualifying. However, Wolff rejected these comments and emphasized the team’s commitment to impartiality and balance between the two drivers. Mercedes has not yet achieved a podium this year and currently finds itself in a somewhat uncertain position in the championship. Taking this into consideration, Wolff and his team will focus on improving the performance of their car and finding the necessary pace to climb in the standings.
