In a thrilling display of speed and skill, the Route 66 NHRA Nationals saw Tony Stewart, Jack Beckman, and Gaige Herrera emerge victorious in their respective categories. The event, held at Route 66 Raceway, showcased intense competition and outstanding performances from the top racers in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series.

Tony Stewart, a racing legend, secured his second win in three races, propelling him to the top of the NHRA Top Fuel points leaderboard for the first time. Stewart’s flawless run in his Rinnai dragster, clocking in at 3.777-seconds at 329.10 mph, was enough to defeat his opponent, Justin Ashley, in a nail-biting final round.

Meanwhile, Jack Beckman dominated the Funny Car category, claiming victory with a remarkable performance against his John Force Racing teammate, Austin Prock. Beckman’s precise driving skills and a run of 3.935 at 325.77 secured him his second win of the season and 37th in his professional career.

In the Pro Stock Motorcycle class, Gaige Herrera continued his winning streak at Route 66 Raceway by outpacing his rival, Matt Smith, in the finals. Herrera’s exceptional run of 6.777 at 198.90 on his Suzuki bike earned him his second win of the season and the 23rd in his career, solidifying his position as a force to be reckoned with in the motorcycle category.

The competition was fierce, with each racer pushing the limits of speed and skill to claim victory. The event showcased the best of NHRA drag racing, thrilling fans and leaving spectators on the edge of their seats.

As the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series continues its action-packed season, the next stop will be the NHRA New England Nationals at New England Dragway in Epping, N.H. Fans can expect more adrenaline-pumping races and fierce rivalries as the top racers battle it out for supremacy on the drag strip.
