Thrills and Spills Await at NASCAR 2025 Las Vegas Spring Weekend: Full Schedule, Top Contenders, and Ticket Info

With the adrenaline rush of the NASCAR 2025 season starting to hit its stride, all gears shift to the buzzing city of Las Vegas. The Cup and Xfinity Series are set to unleash a whirlwind of high-octane action on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s famed 1.5-mile tri-oval track. Known for its high-speed battles and jaw-dropping finishes, this stop is a crucial milestone on the NASCAR calendar. Last year’s victor of the Pennzoil 400, Kyle Larson, is eager to taste victory once again. Meanwhile, William Byron is on a mission to widen his points lead and fend off the relentless charge of JGR driver Christopher Bell.

As we gear up for the thrilling Sunday showdown, let’s delve into the nuts and bolts of what the race weekend promises.

The NASCAR 2025 Las Vegas Spring Weekend is slated to kick off on Friday, March 14. The Speedway will host a series of electrifying events till Sunday, March 16. The Truck Series practice and qualifying sessions will get the wheels spinning at 3:35 PM ET, followed by the Xfinity Series practice and qualifying at 6:05 PM ET. The night will reach a fever pitch with the Truck Series race at 9:00 PM ET.

On Saturday, March 15, the spotlight falls on the Cup and Xfinity Series. The Cup Series practice fires up at 1:35 PM ET, followed by qualifying at 2:40 PM ET. The NASCAR Countdown at 4:00 PM ET will set the stage for the Xfinity race at 4:30 PM ET.

The climactic event of the weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series Pennzoil 400, takes center stage on Sunday, March 16. The Race Day coverage begins at 2:00 PM ET, with the main event roaring to life at 3:30 PM ET.

For fans eager to catch every pulse-pounding moment, the races will be broadcast live on FS1, CW, and Amazon Prime. For those who prefer the raw intensity of live action, ticket prices vary depending on the event. Cup Series infield event tickets range from $38.95 to $98.79, while Xfinity Series tickets start at $11.10 and go up to $38.95. A full weekend pass is available from $54.39 to $144.30.

The weather forecast for the weekend looks promising, with temperatures ranging from a high of 59°F on Friday to 71°F on Sunday. Mild wind speeds and a low chance of precipitation ensure a favorable atmosphere for the races.

On the track, the Cup Series race will showcase all 36 chartered teams. Defending champion Kyle Larson is gunning for back-to-back wins after his dominant performance in last year’s Pennzoil 400. William Byron currently tops the standings with 116 points, with Ryan Blaney and Tyler Reddick hot on his heels.

In the Xfinity Series, Austin Hill and Riley Herbst are seen as the frontrunners after their victories in last year’s Las Vegas races. Rajah Caruth of Spire Motorsports, despite his shaky start to the 2025 campaign, is one to watch out for.

The Pennzoil 400 is not just another race. It sets the stage for drivers to gain crucial momentum early in the season. With the competition so tight at the top, every point is crucial as teams jostle for playoff positions.

In the event of unexpected weather conditions, NASCAR’s Weather Protection Program provides fans with the option to exchange unused grandstand tickets for future races. This policy applies to various NASCAR tracks, including Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Daytona, Talladega, and Richmond.

As the field is set, the countdown to the weekend is on. With a potential JGR vs HMS showdown looming, the safest bets for now seem to be Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, and Christopher Bell. Get ready for a weekend of high-speed thrills and spills at the NASCAR 2025 Las Vegas Spring Weekend!
