Jaguar has revealed that it will bid farewell to the F-Type, with a convertible version of the British brand’s sports car, which pays homage to the E-Type, which went out of production 50 years ago.
The ultimate F-Type features a Verde Giola paint job and a Tan Windsor leather interior, the same configuration that Jaguar used in the ultimate E-Type.
In addition to bidding farewell to one of the brand’s most iconic models, Jaguar is also saying goodbye to the 5.0-liter turbo V8 engine, which powers the F-Type and produces 450 horsepower, and in the SVR version reaches 575 horsepower.
It should be noted that Jaguar has already revealed that the exit of the V8 is due to its electrification strategy, especially since from next year the British brand will be exclusively electric, with the presentation of a four-door, 100% electric GT planned for the new era.
It should be noted that Jaguar revealed the F-Type in 2013 in coupe and convertible versions, a model that was available with V6 and turbo V8 engines, and produced 87,731 units of the sports car in just over a decade. Despite production ending, the brand has announced that the F-Type will remain available until early 2025.
