Xiaomi SU7 Ultra testado em Nürburgring

The 100% electric supercar from Xiaomi, the SU7 Ultra, is said to have achieved a new record for the fastest lap around the Nurburgring circuit in Germany.

According to “Reuters” and as reported by the CEO of the tech giant, Lei Jun, on the Chinese social network Weibo, the SU7 Ultra completed a lap of the famous Nurburgring circuit in 6:46.874 minutes, which is over 20 seconds faster than the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach Package, thus becoming the fastest four-door model in the world on the German track.

Xiaomi is expected to fully unveil the SU7 Ultra later today, at which point the Chinese brand should confirm the impressive lap time achieved at Nurburgring and provide more details about the powertrain and aerodynamic features of the model used to set this new record.

It is worth noting that the concept of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra presented in July was equipped with a system of three electric motors, consisting of two HyperEngine V8 motors and one V6 motor, delivering a combined power of 1547 hp, and all indications suggest that the production version will allow acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.97 seconds and reach a top speed of 350 km/h.

The production version of Xiaomi’s supercar will not feature the carbon fiber body that the prototype had; however, it is already known that the three electric motors will be powered by a high-performance Qilin 2.0 battery pack from CATL, designed for competition, with a discharge power of 1330 kW. The architecture is 897V, and it allows for over 880kW with just 20% charge.
