The VW Polo is one of the most iconic models of the German brand, with a history that is on the verge of celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Since its launch in 1975, the Polo has been delighting generations of drivers with its reliability, efficiency, and innovative design, which have led to the conquest of a legion of fans.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Polo, the Wolfsburg brand announced the production of an anniversary edition, based on the “Style” version, which features a comprehensive package of standard equipment and impresses with small design details.
This 50th anniversary Polo is equipped with ‘Coventry’ 16” aluminum wheels, with ‘Torosa’ 17” wheels available as an option, tinted rear windows, and a 3D emblem on the B-pillar with the inscription “50”.
This special anniversary is also reflected in the interior, with the inscription “Edition 50” on the frames of the door sill panels and the inscription “50” on the lower trim of the steering wheel, as well as on the glossy black panel on the front passenger side, along with heated sports seats, a rearview camera system, ambient lighting, chrome-look pedals, a black headliner, a Chrome package with electric mirrors, buttons, and air vents, and a multifunction steering wheel in leather.
This Polo Edition 50 is available in three versions with different engines. The entry-level model is the Polo Edition 50 with 95 hp and manual transmission, two variants with 95 hp and 116 hp, paired with a seven-speed DSG gearbox.
VW has already revealed that reservations for the new Polo Edition 50 will start on Thursday in Germany, with a price for that market starting at €28,200.
