Volvo announced that it will unveil the new EX60 on January 21, 2026, at an event taking place in Stockholm, Sweden.
Born electric, the new EX60 will debut the SPA3 platform designed to learn, adapt, and evolve over time with new features, enabling the use of more efficient electric motors. Additionally, this new Volvo platform can serve various models, regardless of their size, thus allowing for reduced production costs.
In addition to the new platform, the new electric EX60 will also debut the world’s first multi-adaptive safety belt, which adjusts in real-time to the physical characteristics of each occupant and the specific conditions of each accident.
It should be noted that the EX60 will be Volvo Cars’ first fully electric model in the premium mid-size SUV segment, and that the new model will be produced at the Torslanda factory in Gothenburg, with production expected to start in the first half of 2026.
