Volvo has announced that it will unveil the new Cross Country variant of the compact SUV, EX30, on February 10th, at an event set in the rugged landscapes of Swedish Lapland.
The most adventurous version of Volvo’s electric SUV thus revives the brand’s most adventurous badge, first launched in 1990 with the V70 wagon.
Updates for this new Cross Country version include radical details designed for adventure, such as increased ground clearance, black 18” wheels, a front section reinforced with plastic protections, and a storage area on the roof.
As for the powertrain, it is expected that this Cross Country version of the EX30 will feature two electric motors, providing all-wheel drive. It is anticipated that the new EX30 variant will offer the same configuration as the Twin Motor Performance variant, with two electric motors delivering 428 hp, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and reaching a top speed of 180 km/h.
