The Hermanos Rodríguez Autodrome serves as the stage for the Mexico City Grand Prix of Formula 1 this afternoon. The starting grid is defined, with some changes compared to the qualifying results.

Thus, Ferrari monopolizes the front row, with Charles Leclerc on pole position alongside Carlos Sainz. Behind them, champion Max Verstappen (Red Bull) will start fourth and the surprising Daniel Ricciardo (AlphaTauri) fifth.

At the back of the pack, Logan Sargeant (Williams) failed to set a valid lap time in qualifying but was allowed to participate. He was penalized ten places due to a yellow flag infraction… but will still start in 19th despite qualifying last.

This is because Lance Stroll (Aston Martin), 18th on the track, will have to start from the pit lane for modifying the car in parc fermé. Meanwhile, Yuki Tsunoda (AlphaTauri) was demoted from 15th to 18th for being forced to start from the back of the grid due to exceeding the maximum number of power unit components.
