Lewis Hamilton Struggles at Ferrari: Carlos Sainz Not Surprised!

In a shocking turn of events, Carlos Sainz has revealed that he is “not surprised” by Lewis Hamilton’s ongoing struggles at Ferrari. The Formula 1 world has been buzzing with speculation as Hamilton battles to adapt to his new environment at the Scuderia.

Taking over Sainz’s position at Ferrari for the 2025 season, Hamilton has faced significant challenges in taming the Ferrari SF-25, with only a Sprint victory in China to show for his efforts so far. The British driver himself admitted that this year could shape up to be a “painful” campaign as he grapples with the demands of his new F1 machine.

Sainz, who has also experienced difficulties acclimating to a new team at Williams, seems to have found his footing after leading the charge for his team in Saudi Arabia. Speaking ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, Sainz shared his insights on the daunting task of joining a team where the existing drivers are already deeply ingrained in the team culture.

The Spaniard emphasized, “There’s no secrets…you can only do just a little bit better or the same as them. You cannot suddenly arrive and be two or three tenths quicker because it’s not possible.” Sainz highlighted the time-consuming process of adjusting to a new team, stressing that it could take some drivers longer than others to reach their peak performance.

Hamilton, known for his prowess with Mercedes power units, has found the transition to Ferrari particularly challenging, describing the Ferrari SF-25 as “alien” compared to his previous experiences. Notably, one of the key differences Hamilton identified was in the braking phase and the utilization of engine braking between the two powerhouse teams.

Sainz, having switched teams multiple times in his career, shed light on the intricacies of adapting to new driving styles and team dynamics. With Williams marking his fifth team in 11 campaigns, Sainz expressed his enthusiasm for the challenge of mastering the numerous adjustments required for peak performance.

As the F1 world watches intently to see how Hamilton navigates his Ferrari woes, Sainz’s perspective provides valuable insight into the demanding nature of transitioning between teams in the sport. Stay tuned as the drama unfolds on the track, with both drivers striving to conquer the challenges that come with change in Formula 1.
