Seat is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Leon, a model launched in 1999 that has led the compact segment over four generations, always with the goal of innovating in design, technology, performance, and equipment.

The updated Leon adds technological and mechanical innovations to the lineup, including the new generation of plug-in hybrid engines, e-Hybrid, which allows for smarter management of the combustion engine to further optimize efficiency while continuing to offer a unique and environmentally friendly driving experience, combining Seat’s inherent dynamism with the sporty aspect provided by its 204 hp of power.

With over 2.5 million units of the Leon produced to date, the popular model continues to demonstrate its strength and relevance in the automotive market. The brand has now reinforced the Leon’s offering with the introduction of the new e-Hybrid version, which provides a segment-leading electric range.

With a segment-leading electric range, this plug-in hybrid version stands out as the only PHEV wagon with an electric range exceeding 100 km. This factor makes the Seat Leon e-Hybrid a distinctive option for customers seeking energy efficiency without sacrificing versatility and driving pleasure.

Regarding the technological innovations implemented in the Leon, the highlights include the LED Matrix headlights, an improved and redesigned HMI software in the 10.25” Digital Cockpit instrument panel and the infotainment screens, which now have sizes up to 12.9”  – 10.4”  in the Style version – and include backlit controls for adjusting temperature and volume, as well as a wireless charger for mobile devices that is cooled and has an increased power output of 15W.

With the new 1.5 e-Hybrid engine and the now larger high-voltage battery – with a usable capacity of 19.7 kWh, the Leon e-Hybrid has a range of up to 133 km in fully electric mode and also allows for fast charging in direct current up to 50 kW, taking only 26 minutes to charge from 10 to 80% of its capacity.

The refreshed Leon also adds updates in terms of safety, such as traffic sign recognition and front and rear parking sensors – standard across the entire range – as well as the optional autonomous lane change assistant, which enables Level 2 semi-autonomous driving.
